Welcome to my blog.
My name is Martin P. Hopkins, I have been in the animation industry for 16 years. I attended the Classical Animation Program at Sheridan College in Oakville, Ontario, Canada. After graduating I worked briefly at Lacewood Studios in Ottawa, Canada on a kids show titled "Katie & Orbie" where I did character posing.
In February of 1996, I was hired at Chuck Jones Film Productions. A small crew was brought together to produce new Looney Tunes theatrical shorts. It was a dream job that ended way too soon! After CJFP closed its doors in 1997, I was hired at DreamWorks Animation on "The Prince of Egypt" and haven't looked back since. In my fourteen+ years at DWA I went from the clean-up department to rough animation and finally made the leap to the 3D world on "Shark Tale." I'm currently in production on "Rise of the Guardians".
I love doing animation and can't think of anything I would rather be doing for a living.
